Seoul secenarios
In order to address this issue, SEOUL SCENARIOS uses the following format. It investigates the compete region through the research on the position of Korea within this region. It demands for hypothetical scenarios based on current and new tendencies. It visualizes these tendencies and show them on the level of Korea and its capital Seoul. It shows in detail the consequences in a piece of the city. What new Seoul's appear? Are they only pragmatic or can they reveal a new idealism?
DELIVERIES
1. Scenario based on statistical hypothesis, shown through statistical diagrams, data research. This can be political, demographical, sociological, environmental, economical analyses, hypotheses and dreams. This can include local, regional and global issues. The hypotheses should be clear, convincing, deep, rich and provocative. It should combine idealism with pragmatism.
2. Outline_ map of the east Asian region, showing roughly the selected development in time. 2000-2050-2100-2150-2200
3. Outline_map of (South) Korea, that shows the developments in time of the chosen scenario. 2000-2050-2100-2150-2200
4. Outline_map of Seoul that shows the implications of the developments in time of the chosen scenario 2000-2050-2100-2150-2200
5. Illustration of the development of Seoul through a sequence of the transformation through a series of images based on 3d computer mass model of the chosen piece of Seoul 2000-2050-2100-2150-2200 These items should be shown in a clear, not complex, powerpoint presentation of 25-30 images and a booklet with a print-run on A4 of this story, this presentation. The powerpoint should be burned on CD. The images should be put in a separate folder on the CD, with a high quality, for the printing. It is encouraged that student collaborate, in teams, as well as with other disciplines. It enables to mirror the reality. It enlarges the potential depth. But the visualization plays an important role.
